Lejeune Documentary Headed to Tribeca

The movie’s directors, Rachel Libert and Tony Hardmon, have spent at least two years working on the film.

(NEW YORK) - Jerry and Janey Ensminger A documentary about the historic water contamination at Camp Lejeune will have its world premier this spring at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

“Semper Fi: Always Faithful” tracks the evolution of Marine veteran Jerry Ensminger into an environmentalist after the death of his young daughter, Janey, from leukemia in 1985.

Correctional Officer Found Dead in Washington Prison

Donations to support Officer Biendl's family can be made at any Key Bank location under the name "Jayme Biendl Memorial Fund".

(MONROE, Wash.) - Correctional Officer Jayme Biendl A correctional officer was found dead late Saturday night at Monroe Correctional Complex. An offender who was found earlier was taken to a segregation unit while Monroe police officers investigate.

The officer, Jayme Biendl, 34, had been with the Department of Corrections since 2002.

Hmong People Mourn Death of Royal Lao General Vang Pao

Vang Pao, former general, Hmong leader, and enemy of the Communist Pathet Lao, passed away at the age of 81.

(FRESNO, Calif.) -  Royal Lao General Vang Pao Vang Pao, former Royal Laos general; noted Hmong leader and military leader, passed away in Fresno, California late Thursday. He had been hospitalized for the ten days before his death in Clovis, California.

Vang Pao was born in the Xiangkhouang Province of Laos, which was French Indochina when Gen. Pao was born in 1929.

(CHICAGO) - RFK Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, then a candidate for US president, was flying on April 4, 1968, from New York City to Indianapolis, Indiana. During the flight he learned of the death of Martin Luther King, Jr.

In spite of warnings that it would not be safe, Kennedy insisted on speaking at his previously scheduled campaign event in Indianapolis. The impromptu eulogy he delivered before a predominantly African American crowd of 2500, may be found at the end of this posting.

(CLEVELAND) - Costco drugs Last July, an investigative reporter named Steve Wilson with channel 7 News in Detroit, covered a story about generic drug price gouging by pharmacies.

Wilson's report revealed that some generic drugs were marked up as much as 3,000% or more. Snopes reports, "Yes, that's not a typo . . . three thousand percent!"
