Israel is using the spectre of an imminent attack on Iran to safeguard the country’s bloated military budget and divert attention from social protest at home.

Our government seems to be behaving in this way. Every day, via all channels, it shouts that it is going, any minute now, to break the bones of Iran.

Press Conference Scheduled to Welcome Boats at Gaza Seaport 9:30 a.m.

(GAZA ISM) - Freedom Waves activists Local fishermen, Palestinian youth, civil society, and international supporters will be awaiting the arrival of Freedom Waves to Gaza which is currently approaching the blockaded strip.

The press conference is being hosted by the Palestinian Fishing and Marine Sport Association (PFMSA), and will be held in Gaza's fishing port on Friday, 4 November at 9:30 a.m.

Israel raid kills 2 Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli forces have killed two Palestinians in an attack on the northern part of the blockaded Gaza Strip as Tel Aviv steps up attacks against civilians in the besieged territory, Press TV reports.

(GAZA STRIP Press TV) - Palestinians mourn relatives killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip, October 31, 2011. The incident occurred on Thursday, when armed clashes broke out between Israeli troops and Palestinians in the north of the besieged coastal sliver.

The Israeli army has increased its attacks against the Gazans, vowing to continue to act against Palestinian fighters allegedly poised to fire rockets across the border. Palestinian groups say they're observing an Egyptian-brokered truce agreement but reserve the right to reply to any Israeli aggression.

Palestinian Youth Will March Today in Gaza

Group demands international protection for flotilla.

(GAZA STRIP ISM) - Palestinian youth will march today in Gaza to demand that the United Nations and international community protect the "Freedom Waves to Gaza" flotilla against Israeli attacks.

"I support the flotilla because Israel says it's no longer occupying Gaza," said Rana Baker, a 20-year-old business administration student at Islamic University. "This would include the sea and freedom of movement. But this is not true, and the flotilla will once again prove this and confront a siege illegally imposed upon a mostly-civilian population."

(GAZA) - Boats to Gaza Israel and the US outsourced the siege of Gaza to Athens last summer by preventing 8 boats in the Freedom Flotilla 2-Stay Human from sailing from Greek ports to Gaza.

Despite this we were able to bring world-wide attention to the blockade of the Gaza Strip. Our efforts in Greece only fueled our determination to challenge the imprisonment of the people of Gaza.

Palestinian Youth Join Boats set to Challenge Israel`s Siege of Gaza

Throughout the week Palestinian activists in the West Bank and inside Israel are organizing solidarity actions with the Freedom Waves mission.

(RAMALLAH ISM) - NASA photo of the Gaza Strip Two civilian boats, the Canadian Tahrir (Liberation), and the Irish Saoirse (Freedom), carrying 27 people from nine countries, are currently in international waters making their way to the beleaguered Gaza Strip to challenge Israel’s ongoing criminal blockade of the territory.

A Palestinian youth activist from Haifa has joined this renewed international mission to challenge Israel’s unrelenting stranglehold on Gaza via the sea.

Palestine Enters UNESCO in 107 to 14 Vote

Let the US waste its billions on wars against small nations. The rest of the world prefers to take a different path.

(CHICAGO) - UNESCO headquarters To mounting excitement and wild applause, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), voted 107-14 with 52 abstentions, to approve full Palestinian membership in the international body. The vote came on Monday.

Fully aware that the negotiations track pushed by the US and Israel does nothing but enhance Israel’s continued take over of Palestinian land, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has chosen to enlist the UN in Palestine’s request for justice.
