Gaza`s Race Car Students `Inspirational`

After their little-reported first effort will these resourceful youngsters spin their wheels again at Silverstone?

(LONDON) - Imagine a handful of engineering students imprisoned in the tiny Gaza enclave taking on the cream of Europe's technical universities in a competition to build a race car and compete with it.

They did it last year. And they’re planning to do it again this year – at least that’s what their students’ union tells me, and I’ve been trying to get confirmation.

Khader Adnan Continues Hunger Strike

(CHICAGO) - Khader Adnan is a 33-year-old Palestinian graduate student, who, until he was arrested by Israeli police on December 17, 2011, lived in the occupied West Bank with his wife and two young daughters.

Their home is in the village of Arrabe, near Jenin.

61 Homes Demolished in Gaza: Hundreds Homeless

These demolitions come on the heels of many years of hardships for fishermen and fisherwomen in Gaza.

(GAZA STRIP) - As the Israeli-led blockade of Gaza continues, hundreds of Palestinians were evicted from their homes and their houses were destroyed this week. Barbara Lubin, Founder and Director of the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA), and Dr. Mona El-Farra, witnessed the demolition of 61 homes.

It happened five days ago, on the beach in Gaza City.
