Willamette Women`s Soccer Concludes Season with 1-0 Victory

(FOREST GROVE, Oregon) - Willamette Bearcats The Willamette University women's soccer team concluded the 2010 season with a 1-0 victory over Pacific University on Saturday, Nov.6. Willamette ends the season 7-11-2 overall and 6-8-2 in the Northwest Conference. The Bearcats finished fifth in the NWC. Pacific ended the season 7-11-2 overall and 8-6-2 in the NWC, good for 4th place.

Crash Seriously Injures Forest Grove Motorcyclist

OSP troopers from the Tillamook work site are continuing the investigation.

(TILLAMOOK, Ore.) - Motorcycle crash near Tillamook, Oregon 12 Sept 2010 Police say a Forest Grove man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 6 about 22 miles east of Tillamook.

Oregon State Police say 61-year old Daniel Everett Shaw of Forest Grove, lost control negotiating a left curve, slid into an embankment and was thrown off the motorcycle into a ten foot ditch.

Crane Used to Rescue Injured Construction Worker in Forest Grove

Forest Grove firefighters worked with the injured man's fellow construction workers, who used their crane to deliver him to safety.

(FOREST GROVE, Ore.) - Rescue in Forest Grove, Oregon 1-11-10 Firefighters in Forest Grove responded to the Fernhill Waste Water Treatment Plant job site today, where a man had fallen 25 feet, landing on concrete.

Firefighters received the call about the injured private contractor at approximately 2:51 p.m., according to David Nemeyer with Forest Grove Fire.

Crews Respond to Confined Space Rescue that Leaves One Man Dead

The manhole was located on a manmade dike that was part of a retaining water pond system on private forest land approximately 15 miles north west of Forest Grove.

(FOREST GROVE, Ore.) - Fire officials say one person died and a second was successfully rescued today, after they became trapped in the confined space of an underground manhole on NW Timmerman Road west of Forest Grove.

Firefighters received a call about the situation today at 11:08 a.m. according to Dave Nemeyer with Forest Grove Fire & Rescue.

Fugitive Josh Nicholas Captured in Yamhill County

After successfully eluding police, Nicholas was captured hours later at a residence in unincorporated Yamhill County.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 2007 photo of 36-year old Josh Nicholas Officials say a fugitive out of Washington County, 36-year old Josh Nicholas, was captured tonight in rural Yamhill County by investigators who had been looking for him throughout the day.

Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says deputies and the US Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force tracked Josh Nicholas down, explaining that he is a felon wanted for parole violation warrants.

Missing Forest Grove Boy Found Cold but Unharmed

The boy was located shortly after midnight.

(MANNING, Ore.) - Nine-year-old Joseph Schneider was located unharmed after several hours. Officials say a nine-year-old Forest Grove boy who was visiting family friends became lost in the Manning area Wednesday night.

He was found nine hours later, cold but unharmed, according to Washington County Sheriff's Office Spokesman, Sgt. David Thompson
