One Seriously Injured in Two Alarm Aloha House Fire

Update

(ALOHA, Ore.) - Firefighters from Aloha Station 62 clean u Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue's Aloha Station 62 rescued a woman from a burning home this morning. She was quickly transported to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital with life threatening injuries.

A neighbor called 911 at 9:44 Saturday morning reporting smoke and flames coming from a two story home located at 1756 SW Harvey Way in Aloha.

Suspicious Fire in Albany Vacant House

(Albany, Ore.) - Fire in Albany Oregon This morning at 2:06am the Albany Fire Department was called to a vacant house fire at 6061 Columbus ST SE.

The house at this address is the seventh suspicious house fire since late October; six vacant and one that had occupants. The house on Columbus was built in the late 1890's by the grandparents of the owner, Kent Chapman.

Long Time Sublimity Volunteer Firefighter Dies

(Sublimity, Oregon) - Jerry Heater It is with deep regret the Sublimity Fire District announces the death of long time volunteer firefighter Jerry Heater. Jerry passed away yesterday morning at Salem Hospital as a result of a heart attack.

Jerry just recently started his 52nd year in the fire service. Jerry started with Corvallis Fire and worked for Jefferson Fire District and Tualatin Rural Fire District (now Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue).

Fire Rips Through Beaverton Home, Injures Two People

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - A firefighter covered in foam exits the house after dousing hot spots A fast moving fire raced through a Beaverton home this afternoon, injuring a woman and toddler who were home at the time of the fire.

A neighbor called 9-1-1 at 2:35 pm reporting flames coming from the windows of a home located in the 6800 block of SW 169th Place in Beaverton.

Volunteers Help Four Families in Salem Affected by an 8-Unit Apartment Fire

The Red Cross is a charitable organization – not a government agency – and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.

(Salem, Oregon) - The American Red Cross Volunteers with the American Red Cross responded to an 8-Unit apartment fire today at 8:30am, in the 3600 block of Fisher Road NE in Salem.

The fire was reported at approximately 11:30Pm last nigth. All tenants were able to escape the fire and no injuries were reported Red Cross volunteers provided 5-adults and 4-children with shelter, food, clothing and emotional support.

One-Alarm Hillsboro House Fire Leaves Three Homeless

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Hillsboro firefighters Three people were left homeless Saturday evening following a one-alarm house fire that damaged their two-story home on NW Glencoe Road in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro Fire & Rescue firefighters were summoned to the blaze at 4:51 pm after the occupants smelled smoke and looked outside to see a passerby pointing to flames on the rear of the house.

Portland Fire & Rescue Responds to Apartment Fire in SE Portland, Saves one of Cat`s Nine Lives

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Fire & Rescue rescue work on Rex the Cat Portland firefighters responded to reports of flames coming from an apartment at 1112 SE Tacoma St., #1 at 2:23 pm. Firefighters arrived first on scene in just under four minutes after the fire was dispatched at 2:27 pm. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from a rear bedroom of the residence, which is part of a 4-plex.

Firefighters achieved a quick knock down of the fire, and began searching for two cats which were reported missing. Firefighters located one of the cats, named Rex, in a back bedroom of the structure under a bed.

Three Alarm Fire in Jefferson

(JEFFERSON, Ore.) - Fire in Jefferson Oregon November 9th 2010 Jefferson Fire was dispatched to a house fire today at 3:23 p.m. on Jefferson-Scio Drive SE. Upon arrival Fire Chief Jon Zeilman could see flames shooting out of the back side of the house.

It appears that the fire began on the back porch and burned into the dining and kitchen rooms. The rest of the house has extensive heat and smoke damage.

Hundreds Attend Fire Station Open House in West Linn

(WEST LINN, Oregon) - The Brass Dedication Plaque on the Side of the Fire Station Today the firefighters at Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue's Bolton Fire Station in West Linn officially opened their doors to show the new facility to neighbors in West Linn. Families were able to learn about the daily lives of firefighters, see fire apparatus and learn about home fire escape planning.

Most importantly, fire personnel were able to express their gratitude to the citizens who helped build the fire station which will serve the community for decades to come.
