Train Derailment Spills Logs, Closing Road and Train Tracks

Witnesses say they've noticed trains moving through the area at higher speeds than usual.

(TALBOT, OR) - Train wreck in Talbot, Oregon A northbound Portland & Western Railroad train carrying logs derailed Wednesday afternoon at a crossing on Marlatt Rd. just north of Talbot.

Jefferson Rural Fire Protection District (JRFPD) was dispatched at 5:02 p.m. to respond to the incident after neighbors noticed the accident.

(WOODLAND PARK, CO) - Suburbs of Colorado Springs are on fire. Many homes are lost. Thousands of people evacuated. Colorado Springs is the scene of a massive fire that has threatened residents and led to large evacuations.

The AP reports that the fire has already affected mre than 2,100 residents. Heavy smoke is billowing from this wildfire that has already claimed several homes located near Colorado Springs.

Woodburn High School: Scene of Three Alarm Fire, all Students Evacuated

Parents should rest assured that by all accounts the students and employees are safe.

East Bound Lanes of Hwy 22W Near Rosemont Exit in Salem Closed Due to Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision

The eastbound lanes of Hwy 22W were re-opened at 11:15 p.m.

(SALEM) - Traffic during pedestrian crash in Salem, Oregon At 8;41 P.M., officers of the Salem Police Department responded to Hwy 22W near the Rosemont Exit on a report of a male running in traffic attempting to get struck by passing motorists.

Lieutenant Keith A. Blair with the Salem Police Department's Patrol Division, says additional reports indicated that citizens were attempting to subdue the male to prevent him from continuing his actions.
