Florida Board of Medicine Appears Oblivious to Pill Mill Crisis

Florida Board of Medicine: you have a pill mill crisis in your state! Why are you contributing to it?

(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) - STOPP There is an organization of ordinary citizens operating out of Florida called StoppNow. These ordinary citizens recognize that pill mills operating out of storefront buildings are warehouses of prescription opioids who are dispensing pills to hopelessly addicted people lined up outside the storefront pill mills.

StoppNow organizes picket lines in front of the pill mills calling attention to law enforcement and the D.E.A. that people are dying and families torn apart because of these pill mills. Ordinary citizens saving lives -- heroes in every sense of the word.

Lynn R. Webster, MD is banned from prescribing painkillers and from working at any pain clinic in the U.S.

GPDOTS has justifiable concern as they reference "Pharmaceutical marketing and their conflicts of interest in Canada."

Traffic Stop Leads to Three Arrests, Seizure of Meth, Heroin and a Gun

Three men were arrested at the scene.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - drug dog K-9 A "traffic" stop turned into much more than an infraction for the driver and occupants. Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) officers conducted a traffic stop on Southeast Stark Street at I-205 on Tuesday about 4:45 p.m. During the stop, officers gained consent of the occupants to search the vehicle.

Narcotics K-9 "Lola" was used to search the vehicle and located approximately five (5) pounds of methamphetamine and one (1) pound of heroin in a backpack in the trunk of the vehicle.

Driver Involved in October 15 Fatal Crash Near Molalla Arrested on Drug-Related Warrant

The victim's 3-year old granddaughter received non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Buschke A Colton man was arrested last weekend on drug-related charges associated with the ongoing investigation into an October 15 fatal traffic crash near Molalla.

During the ongoing investigation OSP seized evidence. A search warrant was authorized that resulted in the seizure of controlled substances including heroin and methamphetamine from a container found inside Buschke's car.

The bill sparked my interest because it ties the hands of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) if a pharmacy makes a serious mistake with an opioid prescription.
