Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents seized more than 4,500 pounds of marijuana

(TUCSON, Ariz.) - smugglers truck In six unrelated incidents this weekend, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents seized more than 4,500 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of more than $3.6 million.

This truck, which smugglers attempted to camouflage, was discovered by agents as part of a weekend full of major seizures.

Sonoita checkpoint Marijuana busts

(Tucson, Ariz) - Agents discover contraband in abandoned jeep on patrol near the checkpoint. Tuesday, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Highway 83 Checkpoint located near Sonoita, Ariz., seized almost 600 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of more than $475,000.

In two separate incidents, Agents working the Highway 83 Checkpoint prevented illicit smuggling attempts. While agents were conducting patrol, they encountered a vehicle and upon further inspection discovered bundles of dope in the backseat. The total weight of the marijuana was more than 240 pounds. The contraband was seized and held for processing.

CBP Sizes more than 1.1 million worth of hard narcotics

(Calexico, Calif.) - Salem-News.com U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Calexico ports of entry made three significant hard narcotics seizures over the weekend worth over $1.1 million dollars.

The first seizure occurred on Friday, Sept. 17, at about 4 a.m. at the Calexico downtown port when a CBP officer conducting inspections of travelers entering the United States referred the driver of a 1997 Dodge Caravan and his passenger, both 23-year-old males, to the secondary area for further investigation

U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Yuma Sector seized more than $1 million of marijuana and cocaine, and arrested three drug smugglers in two separate incidents this week.
