Sixty-three out of 72 people died on board a vessel with migrants fleeing Libya, in an episode that occurred during March and April 2011. Their journey ended where it began, on Libyan shores.
Questions exist, over whether military warships near the disabled vessel failed to render mandatory rescue and human aid.

Hanford officials claimed a leak of what has been confirmed as numerous hazardous wastes was just dripping “rainwater.”
After confirming that hazardous wastes were leaking into the open from a concrete container at Hanford, the Washington Department of Ecology issued an “Immediate Action Letter” on Friday to the federal Energy Department (USDOE), which runs Hanford.

India’s support to the U.S. sponsored resolution was out of sync with other members of the Asian bloc in the UNHRC who did not support the U.S. move.

India was among the 24 countries that voted for the U.S. draft resolution on Sri Lanka’s accountability in respect of human rights violations which was passed at the 19th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) at Geneva.
Fifteen member countries opposed it while eight abstained.
