Cleveland Anarchist Bomb Plot Aided and Abetted by the FBI

(LONDON The Guardian) - Cleveland cityscape On 20 November, district court Judge David D Dowd Jr sentenced three anarchists with the Occupy Cleveland movement to prison terms ranging from 8 to 11.5 years for attempting to bomb a highway bridge last spring.

US Attorney Steven Dettelbach trumpeted the successful prosecution: "These defendants were found to have engaged in terrorist activities..."

Black History Month (Don Imus now Dr. Laura?)

People don't realize how significant this is to the present day.

(CLEVELAND) - Imus and Dr. Laura Many Americans believe racial bigotry is a thing of the past; but an examination of very recent developments in the United States does not really support that theory. If America was healed from its racial past, the problems today would be very different.

Those who are not prejudiced and assume the same about others of their own race, do represent a significant part of the population. Ignorance may be bliss, but that is not what this country is really about.

GI Bill: Veterans Bailed Out or Thrown Anchor?

Veterans are waiting long periods for college funding that has been promised to them, too long in some cases.

(SANTA ROSA, Calif.) - Salem-News.com Veterans from all over the country will be hitting the road on October 2, 2009, to collect "emergency payments" of up to $3,000 from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), making up for delays in the new Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill. While the new GI BIll is a great improvement over previous educational benefits, many veterans have yet to see any benefit, or money, at all. Many are taking out loans and incurring additional debt due to the delay.

According to the VA website, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki announced the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has authorized checks for up to $3,000 to be given to students who have applied for educational benefits and who have not yet received their government payment.
