FBI Seeking Information to Identify Victims in International Sextortion Case

Online predator Lucas Michael Chansler was sentenced to 105 years in federal prison for engaging in an extortion scheme to produce child pornography.

(SALEM, Ore.) - This article is part of a national effort to educate the public, particularly parents, about the issue of "sextortion" as well as to identify other potential victims of Lucas Michael Chansler.

As of now, the FBI has not identified any of Chansler's victims as having come from Oregon, but approximately 240 victims remain unidentified.

Child Abuser Michael Abo Sentenced 7.5 Years in Oregon Prison

This case has saddened much of Yamhill County.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Michael Abo pleaded Guilty on Wednesday. He is guilty of beating a 4-year old boy nearly to death on New Year’s Eve 2013. The abuse caused permanent, life-altering damage to his girlfriend’s young son, which he admits to.

This week, he was sentenced 7.5 years for his crime. Some say, not nearly long enough.

Joshua Cavett is Guilty of Murder in the First Degree

Josh Cavett killed his wife, Jessie Doyle Cavett, in cold blood. Now, over a year after he confessed and was arrested, an agreement has been made, and he will begin his sentence.

“Justice is not served,” said the victim’s mother, Judy Doyle. “No number of years is enough."

Murdered Mother-of-Two Honored at Fundraiser

The perpetrator was the woman’s estranged husband, who had no care whatsoever that a Restraining Order said he should stay away from her. Joshua Cavett walked up the stairs to the second floor apartment where he yelled and banged on a door until, finally, the door was opened.

Before 27-year old Jessie Doyle could make a move, there was a gun at her head and suddenly it was over. He shot her once, point blank.

4-Year Old Lincoln City Girl Dies After Being Diagnosed with E. Coli

The girl's friend is still fighting for his life. Health officials are trying to discover the cause of the infection.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Little Serena Profitt died Monday night at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland from an infection caused by a strain of E. coli. Serena was four years old.

Her five-year-old friend, Brad Sutton, from Washington is undergoing treatment Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. where he was listed in critical condition early Tuesday evening.
