Sudanese Doctors Demand Government Halt of Arrests and Civilian Torture

Sources inside El Fasher say people will keep dying if local doctors don't continue saving them. Sudan's government forces are shooting and torturing every night; many believe no one cares.

(EL FASHER, Darfur / PORTLAND, Ore.) - Women living under oppressive conditions in Sudan Sudanese doctors in Khartoum went on strike several months ago, demanding their back pay and the suspension of the Federal Minister of Health. Other reasons given were inadequate pay, poor working conditions and a lack of equipment.

Conflict arose between these doctors and the Government of Sudan (GoS) resulting in arrests, torture and the firing of many doctors.

I feel that many corporations do considerable good for mankind but many are driven by a level of greed that is not just offensive, it is obscene.

NW Kids Club Forced to Close Doors by End of June

An important facility for local kids will close and they need the community's help to relocate.

(SALEM, Ore.) - NW Kids Club The NW Kids Club, otherwise known as the Indoor Playground, has been a wonderful asset to children and parents in the Salem-Keizer area for 3 years.

But the owners received a letter from their landlord informing that they would not renew the facility's lease, and it leaves the place in quite a fix.

What happened at a Veterans fundraiser in Albany two months ago, needs to be investigated.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Patty Louisiana talking to another organizer at the Traveling Wall event last summer The March 19th, 2010 the "Stars for Soldiers" concert took place at the Venetian Theater in Albany, Oregon as a concert to benefit our Oregon National Guard and their families.

Concert promotion advertised that, “100% of all the proceeds will go to the Oregon National Guard and their families.”
