Kyaukpro Mosque Burnt Down by Buddhists in Burma

Muslim association in Yangon announces they will not observe Eid-ul-Azha in protest of killing and torching Rohingyas and their houses

(DHAKA, Bangladesh) - LIttle Rohingya girl in Burma I just learned that yesterday, the Rakhines torched the historic Mosque (Biggest of Kyaukpro) and most of the parts of it burnt down.

The Rakhines tried to torch Muslim houses in Kyaukpro, but in vain due to the intervention of the army. A tense situation continues to prevail in Kyaukpro.

As a result of the ensuing violence, displaced Rohingya refugees are living in unhealthy tents mostly in Sittwe, facing starvation and falling sick due to inadequate food supply and lack of treatment and medicines.

OIC Organizing Donors Meeting for Burma`s Rakhine State
