ME Revolts Threaten US Military Bases

The recent uprisings in Arab states have raised serious concerns in the US over the major reliance of its military operations on its bases across Persian Gulf's Arab nations.

(TEHRAN PRESS TV) - U.S. Navy ship docked at Bahrain About 27,000 American troops are deployed at US military bases in numerous Arab countries in the region, including Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, AFP reported.

As the Bahraini government brutally cracks down on the country's pro-democracy protesters, at least 4,000 American troops are stationed there as part of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters.

Bahrain Joins World Revolution

Police storm demonstrators marked a ‘Day of Wrath' inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Protest in Bahrain Police in Bahrain have killed at least one demonstrator today, showing the world that this island nation in the Person Gulf which has a very poor human rights record, lacks the ability to exhibit restraint when dealing with protesters.

On this otherwise peaceful day, pro-democracy demonstrators were attacked in the town of Duraz in Bahrain today, as police attacked with no regard for injuries or deaths.
