Ghana: Free the Slaves for $92 Each

In the fishing industry in Ghana the boy slavery problem is systemic and has been going on for decades.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - In order to free a child slave who is a part of the fishing industry in Ghana one only has to pay $92 USD.

This covers the rescue, use of speed boats and rehabilitation services which include school supplies and money to assist the family so they will not have to sell their children again.

A Note on the American Psyche

In one of my stories last year I reviewed Shock Doctrine by fellow Canadian Naomi Klein. She recounted in depressing detail the horrors visited on other nations by American policies—almost always on behalf of business.

Kagame`s Rwanda: Myth and Reality

The U.S. should endorse Amnesty International's request that the UN create a structure in which the cases can be heard and trials conducted.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda In April 2010, President Barack Obama marked the 17th anniversary of the "unimaginable slaughter" of Rwanda's 1994 genocide, saying it reminded the world of its duties to civilians in places like Libya.

President Obama made no effort to dispel the myth used by Rwanda President Paul Kagame about the 1994 Rwanda genocide and the role played by the U.S. leading up to the genocide.

Military Deaths Nearly Every Day in March; Almost a Third are Californians

20 dead in Afghanistan.

(SALEM, Ore.) - U.S. War Dead As you read through these events that claimed the lives of 25 Americans overseas, you will note that two soldiers in Afghanistan were allegedly killed by an individual from a military security group. Military security group means private contractor, like the group formerly known as Blackwater.

One death was the result of a shooting that happened at the Frankfurt Airport, Germany. You will also see that Americans are still dying in Iraq.
