(DENVER) - Christopher Lee Castle Christopher Lee Castle joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2008, eager to give back to the military community after having served in the Marine Corps.

It was the height of the Great Recession, and Christopher's job as a loan specialist in the Veterans Benefits Administration meant he was soon counseling veterans and family members who were going through foreclosures on their VA guaranteed home loans and facing other economic hardships.

Feds Mute on Cancer Incidence Study for Lejeune

ATSDR needs to compute the cancer incidence rate for both bases before ‘opening the champagne’.

(SALEM) - Camp Lejeune in located in North Carolina The Tampa Bay Times reported on March 10th that ‘the feds’ were reluctant to commit to a cancer incident study of Camp Lejeune veterans.

The base wells at Lejeune were contaminated with organic solvents and other toxic chemicals for at least 30 years (1957-1987).

ASTDR Releases Camp Lejeune Health Studies

Cause of death data from 1979-2008 was used to study the Camp Lejeune and Camp Pendleton cohorts.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Camp Lejeune, NC The study evaluated specific causes of death in 154,932 Marines and Navy personnel who began service during 1975-19851 and were stationed at Camp Lejeune anytime during this period.

We also evaluated a comparison group of 154,969 Marines and Navy personnel from Camp Pendleton.

The Dance of the Dead

Higher cancer rates for Lejeune and Pendleton Veterans.

In contrast, the 18,329 cancer deaths of Marines who were stationed at Camp Lejeune and Camp Pendleton from 1975 until 1985 are a real life horror story and not a laughing matter.

In the newly released article, Environmental Health, explains that Dr. Frank Bove, ATSDR toxicologist, and other scientists reported that Lejeune Marines had higher cancer rates than those at Camp Pendleton.

(CAMP LEJEUNE, NC) - Retired Marine Jerry Ensminger Two drinking water systems at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina were contaminated with solvents during 1950s-1985.
