Hong Kong's Air Traffic Control Center reported the debris field was spotted by a passing airliner.
An aviation Website reports via the Hong Kong Air Traffic Control Center, that a large field of debris has been located at position N9.72 E107.42, about 80 nautical miles southeast of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
