CLEVELAND - Former Oregon State standout and record-setting quarterback Derek Anderson has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week Two of the 2007 NFL Season, the NFL announced Wednesday.

During a 51-45 win over the Bengals Sunday, Anderson marked a career high with 328 passing yards on 20-for-33 passing with a franchise-record-tying 5 touchdowns and 1 interception for a passer rating of 121.0.

Anderson was quick to shrug off any personal credit and instead give it to the club as a whole.

He was asked what winning the awards means to him.

"It means our offense went out there and did a lot of good things and that's about it," he said.
