CORVALLIS, Ore. - The schedule for the Oregon State baseball team’s trip to the White House has been officially announced.

The Beavers will celebrate their 2006 and 2007 national championships by meeting with President George W. Bush on Friday at 3:25 p.m. ET (12:25 p.m. PT). The ceremony will take place on the South Lawn.

“It’s a great time for our guys to stand outside the nation’s capitol and realize what it means to live in this country and have the opportunity to chase dreams,” Beavers Head Coach Pat Casey said. “We were doing that in the College World Series. People are doing that in life. It will be a great time for our players to get a history lesson on what it means be a United States citizen and how great a country this really is.”

Oregon State became the first collegiate baseball team to repeat in 10 years when it took home the 2007 title. The 2007 club defeated North Carolina in two games in a best of three series in Omaha, Neb.

Other teams scheduled to participate in the ceremony include Arizona State women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, Brown University women’s crew, John Hopkins men’s lacrosse, Tennessee women’s basketball, Alaska-Fairbanks men’s and women’s rifle, Minnesota-Twin Cities men’s wrestling and Duke women’s golf.
