PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore Marissa Walter had the best chance to score for the Warriors and junior Karyn Allen recorded a game-high six saves, as Corban's women's soccer team fell to the NAIA's No. 8-ranked Cavaliers of Concordia, 1-0, on Saturday at The Yard.

Despite a scoreless first half, Corban best chance to get on the board came via Walter's shot in the 13th minute when she spun her body around and whirled a kick that sailed two feet wide right of a diving Concordia net-minder.

Meanwhile, Concordia's lone goal came in the 67th minute when Kaitlyn Tebbs took a free kick from 35 yards out that when through a crowd of people.

With numerous Cavaliers going up for a header and the Warriors attempting to defend, Allen was not able to see that ball scoot past her into the back of the net.

Walter and freshman Erin Laughlin recorded Corban's only two shots with neither heading on goal.

Allen manned the Warriors' net and made a game-high six saves, while Concordia's Leah Flores did not need to make a save en route to picking up the shutout.
