PORTLAND, Ore. - Jesuit High School is proud to announce that Dave Nicholas, Jesuit's Men's Soccer Coach, has been named the National Coach of the Year for Men's Soccer by the National High School Athletics Coaches' Association.

Dave is among 17 other nationally-recognized coaches.

"This is a tremendous achievement for Dave personally and professionally, as well as for the school. His commitment of more than twenty years to Jesuit athletics and the mission of our school is admirable indeed. All of us congratulate Dave on this tremendous recognition," states Mike Hughes, Jesuit's Athletic Director.

Coach Nicholas responded to the NHSACA award by saying, "I am proud of our team, the coaching staff, and all who are part of the Jesuit community. This recognition is truly a reflection of the kind of atmosphere and teamwork we promote at Jesuit High School. I do not see this as an individual award, but an expression of the total program, and all who have been involved past and present. It is an honor to represent Jesuit in this way."
