Oregon's Dixon Named Offensive Player of The Week

The Oregon Ducks face Fresno State at Autzen Stadium this Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon has been named Pac-10 offensive player of the week after the Ducks defeated the Michigan Wolverines 39-7 in Ann Arbor last Saturday afternoon.

Dixon threw for 292 yards on 16 of 25 passing and three touchdowns.

Dixon was also the third leading rusher behind Jonathan Stewart and Jeremiah Johnson with 76 yards and a touchdown.

Oregon's last player of the week was September 9, 2006 when J.D. Nelson received defensive player of the week and Paul Martinez won special teams honors.

The last time Oregon received an offensive player of the week was September 3, 2005 when Kellen Clemens was awarded.
