EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon football program is back among the nation's top 10 for the first time since the 2005 season.

The Ducks (4-1, 1-1 Pac-10) are ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25, No. 8 in the USA Today poll (coaches) and No. 10 in the Harris Poll (BCS) following this past weekend's upset laden slate that included losses by former unbeaten teams Kentucky, USC and Wisconsin.

UO's top 10 status is its first since Dec. 5, 2005, when the Ducks were tabbed No. 6 in the AP and No. 5 in the USA Today heading into the Holiday Bowl.

Oregon is the second highest Pac-10 team in the polls, trailing only No. 2 California. USC, is ranked 10th in the AP after losing Saturday 24-23 to Stanford, and Arizona State, ranked No. 14, are the other two conference schools among the nation's elite.

All four teams are ranked among the top 15 in all three indexes.

Coming off a bye week, the Ducks return to action on Saturday, Oct. 13, when they host Washington State (2-4, 0-3) at Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is 12:30 p.m.
