TACOMA, Wash. - The Oregon State women's golf team finished in 10th place at the 15-team Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational that was held the past three days at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club. The Beavers shot a 311 on Wednesday after rounds of 306 on Monday and 303 on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,078-yard course that featured seven teams from the Pacific-10 Conference. "Today was definitely disappointing as far as our scoring," Oregon State women's head coach Risë Alexander said. "We will work diligently on our mental toughness and short game for the next several weeks. What we have to do is learn how to get off to a better start and how to play aggressively when we do." Freshman Seshia Telles shot a 3-over 75 for the third straight round to lead all Oregon State golfers and tie for 24th overall. Junior Whitney French tied for 36th with a 77-73-78--228 and junior Elyse Okada finished 51st with a 80-77-77--234. "Seshia played very consistently, finishing 24th as a freshman in this excellent field of players," Alexander said. "Elyse also had a strong finish today playing 2-under in her last six holes." California survived a strong finish by USC to win the team title with a 17-under 847. The Trojans were the only other team under-par in the tournament with a 15-under 849. Emily Childs of California led the tournament all three days to win medalist honors with a 10-under 68-68-70--206.
