Claire Faucher Joins Oregon State Women's Basketball as Assistant Director of Operations

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's basketball program is pleased to announce Claire Faucher as its assistant director of operations, announced Monday by head coach Scott Rueck.

Faucher begins her first season as assistant director of operations for the Oregon State women's basketball program, joining the staff on September 29, 2010.

Faucher is coming off of a successful career as starting point guard for the Portland State Vikings, garnering three All-Big Sky First Team selections, as well as being named the 2007 Big Sky Conference Outstanding Freshman. As a senior, she was named the Big Sky Tournament MVP after leading the team to its first-ever Big Sky Championship and setting not only the school record for career assists but also the Big Sky Conference record. And as a sophomore she was an Associated Press honorable mention All-American. She also flourished in the classroom as a three-time Big Sky All-Academic Team selection.

Her name is dotted throughout the Portland State record books, finishing in the career top 10 in 14 categories. She holds the school record for assists (829), second for steals (282), three-point field goals made (185) and three-point field goal attempts (581) and third for games started (108) and free throw attempts (426).

Faucher, a native from Yakima, Wash. and 2006 graduate of Eisenhower High School, graduated from Portland State in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Supply and Logistics Management.
