EUGENE, Ore. - University of Oregon sophomore wide receiver Derrick Jones has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to the Ducks’ head coach Mike Bellotti.

Jones, who has caught 11 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns through Oregon’s first six games this season, was expected to play an expanded role in the team’s offense following last week’s loss of wide receiver Cameron Colvin to an ankle injury.

The absence of Jones would mean that freshman Aaron Pflugrad is expected to earn his first collegiate start when Oregon travels to Seattle to play the University of Washington Saturday.
