Two Bearcat Boats Finish in First Place

Willamette was competing without their entire team. Currently, the Bearcats have two boats rowing at the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.

TACOMA, Wash. - The Willamette rowing team competed at the Head of Silcox on Saturday, Oct. 17 at American Lake. Willamette had six boats compete in the event, which was hosted by the University of Puget Sound.

Willamette's women's novice 8+ and the women's second novice 8+ finished in first place for the Bearcats.

For the Bearcat men, the varsity 8+ finished in third place behind the University of Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark College.

In the men's novice 8+ finished in second place behind Lewis & Clark College.

Also competing for Willamette were the women's varisty 8+, who finished in third place behind Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Puget Sound.

Willamette's final boat was the women's varsity 4. They finished in third place behind two boats from the University of Puget Sound.
