MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Western Oregon women's volleyball team remained at No. 8 in this week's NCAA Division II Pacific Region poll, announced today by the national office in Indianapolis. The top eight teams in the final poll on Monday morning (Nov. 12) will qualify for post-season play. The Wolves have tough road games this week at conference-leading Western Washington (Thursday) and third-place Central Washington (Saturday). The announcement regarding the tournament field will be made at 6 a.m. Pacific time on Monday at ncaasports.com. Meanwhile, six members of the Wolves squad were named to the All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic team. Only one team (Alaska Fairbanks) had more players (seven). To qualify for the team, you must be in your second season at the school (no freshmen or transfers), maintain a 3.2 grade point average or better, and be a starter or contributing member to your team.
