CORVALLIS, Ore. - Several Oregon State football players earned recognition from national media outlets Wednesday.

Three Beavers were among the players honored on Rivals.com’s All-Pac-10 Conference team including first team selections Derrick Doggett (LB) and Roy Schuening (OL). Yvenson Bernard (RB) received second team honors.

Also receiving national accolades is Darrell Catchings (WR), who was selected to the 2007 Sporting News Pac-10 All-Freshman Team. Catchings, who has started six games as a rookie, is third on the team with 31 receptions and 365 yards.

Schuening started the 48th consecutive game of his career against Washington State tying the all-time career mark at OSU. The senior was forced to move from his usual position of right guard to right tackle recently and has continued to excel in his final season at Oregon State.

Doggett, a two-time second team selection by the Pac-10, is second on the team with 67 tackles and has a team-high 12.0 tackles-for-loss for a squad that is ranked first in the nation against the run.

Bernard, the Pac-10’s third leading rusher (103.7 yards per game) in 2007, recently became just the seventh running back in Pac-10 history to record three 1,000-yard seasons.
