PORTLAND, Ore. - Scott O’Gallagher’s 29 points and 10 rebounds lifted Warner Pacific to a 104-92 nonconference victory over visiting Linfield Tuesday night. Warner Pacific (3-3) jumped out to a 15 point halftime advantage after shooting 60 percent in the first half of play. The Knights finished the game shooting 57.6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from behind the arc. Linfield (3-2) was led by 25 points from Erik Olson, as well as 14 points off the bench from Cody Tesoro. Brian Murphy, Jon Weber and K.C. Wiser all chipped in with 11 points each on the night. Besides O’Gallagher, three other Knights did the bulk of the scoring. Jalonta Martin finished with 23 points on 8 of 17 shooting. Martin also helped out on the glass with five rebounds while getting the offense in transition with three steals. Josh Jackson had a big night on both ends of the court, picking up 19 points and a game-high seven steals. The last of the Knights in double figures was Jeremy Reedal who ended up with 11 points. The difference in the game was the first half shooting performance from the Wildcats, who shot 31.6 percent from the field, including 4 of 13 on 3-point field goals. Linfield was able to hold a 43 to 42 rebounding edge for the game but only shot 37.3 percent on the night. The ‘Cats were able to stay close in the second half and outscore the Knights 55-52 due to a 7 of 13 clip from three-point range. Warner Pacific was able to get the foul line 13 more times that Linfield, finishing 30-40 from the charity stripe. Linfield travels to Concordia Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. Warner Pacific opens up Cascade Colligate Conference action Saturday when it faces of with host Northwest Christian College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Source: Linfield Athletics
