EUGENE, Ore. - No. 17 Oregon and No. 25 Kansas State square off in a top-25 meeting that’s part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series on Thursday at 6 p.m. (PST) in Manhattan, Kan. ESPN2 will televise the game nationally.

RANKED NON-CONFERENCE NOTES:

Thursday’s game will be the first time in school history that a ranked Oregon team will go on the road to play at a ranked non-conference opponent. It will also be the first time in five years that a ranked Oregon team will play a ranked non-conference opponent anywhere during the regular season. The last time that happened, No. 5 Oregon defeated No. 25 Minnesota 90-81 Dec. 22, 2002, at McArthur Court.

UO MATCHES RANKINGS RECORD:

Dating back to last season, Oregon has been ranked by the Associated Press for 18 consecutive weeks (No. 17 this week). That ties the school record for consecutive weeks ranked -- the final six polls of the 2001-02 season and the first 12 of the 2002-03 season.

DUCKS TAKE MANHATTAN:

Oregon will see a lot of the "Little Apple" this week. In addition to Thursday’s basketball game, the 13th-ranked UO volleyball team was sent to Manhattan for NCAA Tournament First and Second Round action. The Ducks play Missouri State on Friday with the winner playing the Kansas State-Tulsa winner Saturday. Down the road, Oregon and Kansas State have signed a contract for a series in football in the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

SHOOTING AND SCORING:

Oregon has reached 80 points in all six games this season, hit 90 points three times and topped 100 twice. The Ducks are also shooting 52 percent from the field and 43 percent from the three-point line.
