Western Oregon Offering Winter Softball Clinics

MONMOUTH, Ore. - Three different sessions will cover four separate skill areas of softball instruction in clinics offered this winter at Western Oregon University.

A catcher's only clinic will be held on Sunday, January 20 at the Physical Education Building.

The program will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes lunch. Cost is $85 if pre-registered, or $95 on the day of the clinic. Former WOU all-region catcher Lydia Foster will be on hand for instruction, along with many others.

A clinic for pitchers is slated for Saturday, Feb. 2.

WOU softball pitchers and coaches will teach, along with longtime pitching teacher Sharon Nichols. There will be separate sessions for ages 7-11, 12-15 and 16-17. The cost is $35.

A clinic for position play and hitting will be held on Sunday, Feb. 3 from noon to 3:30 pm.

All ages are welcome. Groups will be divided up by age and position. Cost for this session is $50.
