Another Honor for Corban's Rashelle Davenport

SALEM, Ore. - Corban College junior Rashelle Davenport has been named as an All-Region I honorable mention following her first season as a member of Corban's women's volleyball team.

Corban ended its first season under head coach Heather Dunn at 12-14 overall (10-10 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play) and finished fifth in the final conference standings.

Davenport, a 5-foot-10 right-side hitter, ended her inaugural season as a Warrior with a team-best 314 kills and an average of 3.41 kills per game in 92 games.

The transfer from Mt. Hood Community College also led the team in service aces with 40, while averaging a team-high 0.43 aces per game, and a team-best hitting percentage of.219. Davenport also ended her inaugural season as a Warrior second on the team in digs with 331 (avg. 3.60) and third in blocks with 32 (avg. 0.35).

In the final regional rankings among individuals, Davenport finished 6th in kills per game (3.41), 7th in service aces per game (0.42), and 16th in digs per game (4.01).

Earlier this month, Davenport was named as a member of the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference 1st team. This is the second year in a row that Corban's women's volleyball program has placed someone on the All-Region team as a honorable mention recipient.
