The junior had 17 points in the first half, including a key rebound and put back during a 10-0 run to end the first half, as the Coyotes (1-4) built a 44-26 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Division III Bearcats (0-1) closed within 55-42 on a Cameron Mitchell jumper with just under 13 minutes left, but Brian Bergerson hit three-pointers on consecutive posessions to push the lead to 19 as the Yotes salted away their first win of the year.

Bergerson had 13 points in the victory, Jordan Stokes and Kelvin Potts each scored 12, with Bryan Champ adding ten points and four steals.

Mitchell led the Cats with 23 points and 13 rebounds, with Kyler McClary adding 12 points and six rebounds.

The Coyotes will meet Westminster College in tomorrow's title tilt, with the Griffins stopping Eastern Oregon, 78-67, in a battle of nationally-ranked unbeatens.
