McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Postseason honors continue to accumulate for Linfield senior outside hitter Katelyn Baker.

Baker was recently named an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

That prestigious honor came shortly after Baker was cited as a first team all-Northwest Conference and first team all-West Region performer.

As a senior in 2007, Baker led the Wildcats to a 15-10 overall record. Linfield was 10-6 in the NWC, good for third place in the league.

She set Linfield single-season records with 4.75 kills per game and 1,151 attack attempts. Her and a .288 hitting percentage ranked second in the NWC this fall.

Her 5.21 points-per-game average established another single-season standard.

Also earning recognition on the NWC all-star team was sophomore middle blocker Emily Vuylsteke, who was an honorable mention selection.

Vuylsteke led Linfield in total blocks, averaging 0.73 per game. She also ranked third on the team in kills at 2.31 per game.
