TUCSON, Ariz. - Oregon starting QB Dennis Dixon, a Heisman Trophy front-runner, hurt his left knee in the first quarter as he tried to cut on a run, and the Arizona Wildcats took control leading #2 Oregon 31-14 at halftime. Dixon, who will not return, sprained the knee against Arizona State on Nov. 3. He wore a brace Thursday night. Backup Brady Leaf came on, and had a pass intercepted for for a touchdown. Leaf is 7-16 for 69 yards and the Int. Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart has rushed 17 times for 88 yards. Arizona QB Willie Tuitama is 12-18 for 167 yards with 2 TD's and 1 Int.
