Warriors Davenport & Reeher Named to All-Conference Team

For Davenport and Reeher, this is their first all-conference honor as members of the Warrior volleyball team.

SALEM, Ore. - Corban College junior Rashelle Davenport was named to the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference 1st team, while fellow junior Chelsea Reeher received all-conference honorable mention when the team was announced Monday by the conference office.

Corban ended its first season under head coach Heather Dunn at 12-14 overall (10-10 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play) and finished fifth in the final conference standings.

Davenport, a 5-foot-10 right-side hitter, ended her first season as a Warrior with a team-best 314 kills and an average of 3.41 kills per game in 92 games. The transfer from Mt. Hood Community College also led the team in service aces with 40, while averaging a team-high 0.43 aces per game, and a team-best hitting percentage of.219.

Davenport also ended her inaugural season as a Warrior second on the team in digs with 331 (avg. 3.60) and third in blocks with 32 (avg. 0.35). In conference matches only, Davenport finished 6th in kills per game (3.61), 13th in service aces per game (0.42), and 9th in digs per game (4.01) among the conference schools.

Reeher, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker, capped her third season at Corban by finishing second on the team in total kills with 278 while averaging 2.99 kills per game in a team-high tying 93 games.

The Crook County High School graduate led the team in blocks with 78 (27 solo, 51 assist), while averaging a team-best 0.84 blocks per game. In conference matches only, Reeher finished 9th in kills per game (3.19) and 13th in blocks per game (0.91) among the conference schools.

This is the second year in a row that Corban's women's volleyball program has placed someone on the 1st team following a one-year absence in 2005.

For Davenport and Reeher, this is their first all-conference honor as members of the Warrior volleyball team.
