Quartet of Warriors Named to All-Conference Team

Corban concluded its 2007 season with an overall record of 6-10-2, 4-8-2 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

SALEM, Ore. - Led by senior midfielder Caleb Louvier's first-team honor, Corban's men's soccer team had four players named as All-Cascade Collegiate Conference team members with one 1st team, one 2nd team, and two honorable mention selections.

For Louvier, this is his third 1st team selection in four seasons as the senior co-captain joins sophomore Mark Mendenhall, freshman Collin Box, and junior Fernando Karczeski on this season's all-conference team.

Louvier, a 5-foot-10 midfielder, led the team in total points with 19 and goals scored with eight. The senior scored the game-winning goal in Corban's 2-1 victory over the Eagles of Northwest on September 26th. Louvier concluded his four-year career with 37 goals, 19 assists, and 93 points. In Warrior history, Louvier ranks 5th in both goals and points as well as 7th in assists.

Mendenhall, a 6-foot-3 defender, concluded his second season as a Warrior by earning all-conference 2nd team honors. The sophomore scored three goals, including the game-winner against first-year conference member Northwest Christian, and recorded six points.

Box, a 5-foot-9 defender, anchored the Warriors' defensive line this season en route to earning all-conference honorable mention accolades. The former South Salem High School graduate appeared in 16 games, including starting 13, and handed out a pair of assists. Box finished third on the team in minutes played with 1,138 behind Mendenhall (1,375) and Louvier (1,251).

Karczeski, a 5-foot-7 midfielder, was named all-conference honorable mention after finishing fifth on the team in points with seven thanks to three goals and an assist. The junior ended the season third on the team in total shots with 35, while firing 14 shots on goal to rank third on this year's squad.

Corban concluded its 2007 season with an overall record of 6-10-2, 4-8-2 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.
