CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State baseball team will resume its suspended game with Portland on Wednesday, May 7 at 4 p.m. PT at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The Beavers hold a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth over the Pilots. The Beavers scored three runs in the top of the third in the game, which was originally held April 15 at PGE Park in Portland.

No tickets will be sold for the resumed game; fans are invited to come and watch the clubs for free. However, season ticket holders will be given priority for their normal seats.

Oregon State posted three runs in the top half of the third off Portland starter Brennan Thorpe. Drew George scored on a wild pitch, Daniel Robertson plated Jordan Lennerton on a sacrifice fly to center and Jason Ogata drove in a run on a slow roller down the third base line that ran along the foul line.

Right-hander James Nygren started for the Beavers, and did not allow a hit over three innings. He threw 58 pitches, and struck out two batters in the short outing.

Next up for Oregon State is a return to Pacific-10 Conference play in a three-game series against Washington State that begins Saturday and ends Monday. First pitch Saturday at Bailey-Brayton Field is 5:30 p.m. PT.
