EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon baseball coach George Horton and his staff will host a series of prospect and youth camps this summer starting in June. The prospect camps are open to all high school players, and the youth camps are broken up into sessions for players entering sixth through eighth graders as well as those entering second through fifth grade. Session I of the prospect camp will take place June 7-8. Session II is a three-day camp from July 10-12, and Session V is an overnight camp August 15-16. Youth camps will be made up of Session III on July 14-17 for grades 6-8, and Session IV July 21-24 for grades 2-5. Tuition costs vary depending on the session. Accompanying Coach Horton and his assistants, Jason Gill and Andrew Checketts, will be some of the best high school and junior college coaches from the State of Oregon. The Oregon baseball staff teaches more than just baseball. They will help kids develop a winning attitude, learn good work habits, understand the importance of academics, and more importantly, learn the benefits of always doing their best.
