May-10-2009 23:24WOU Track & Field: Keifer, Loscutoff and Vander Meulen Move into Record BooksSalem-News.com SPORTSKeifer, an NCAA provisional standard qualifier in the heptathlon, moved into second place in the GNAC in the women's 100m hurdles.
EUGENE, Ore. - Mandy Keifer, Janna Vander Meulen and Andy Loscutoff all moved into the top 10 in the Western Oregon University track and field record books in separate hurdle events Saturday, May 9 at the Oregon Twilight. Vander Meulen climbed to eighth all-time in Western Oregon school history with a time of 15.06 in the women's 100m hurdles. That time also places her fifth on the 2009 Great Northwest athletic Conference performance list. Loscutoff registered a time of 54.30 in the men's 400m hurdles to finish third in event at the Oregon Preview and to move into third in the GNAC and ninth in the Western Oregon record books. Keifer, an NCAA provisional standard qualifier in the heptathlon, moved into second place in the GNAC in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.94. Keifer's time also moved her into a tie for seventh in school history. Keifer also placed herself in the Western Oregon record books in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.90, to move into eighth place. That time also places her sixth on the GNAC performance list this season. Other highlights from the meet included; Kyle Larson moving into seventh in the conference in the 800m with a time of 1:54.40, while Ali Mosher advanced to ninth place in the 100m hurdles after registering a time of 15.47. Keifer and Vander Meulen finished three-four in the women's 100m hurdles…Ashtin Mott finishing third in the men's 400m dash with a time of 49.26…Zeb Udell placing third in the men's pole vault after clearing 16-0.75 (4.90m) Tyler Reisnaur notched a leap of 46-6.25 (14.18m) in the triple jump to place fourth at the Oregon Twilight…Jason Slowey was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 46-11.75 (14.32m)…Lacey Meusec ran a 25.70 in the women's 200m to finish fourth in the event.
