MIAMI, Fla. - Sophomore Dani Chisholm went a perfect 4-for-4, adding two runs, to lead the Beavers to a 4-1 win over Florida International in the final game of the Blue and Gold Felsberg Memorial Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Oregon State (13-13) chalked up a season-high 14 hits, led by Chisholm, with three other players recording multi-hit games.

Florida International (8-18) put a run on the board first in the bottom of the second after Ashley Falk led off the inning with a single. The Golden Panthers worked to manufacture a run on a sacrifice bunt before Lisa Brooks hit a double to left field to score the run.

But Oregon State quickly tied things up in the next half inning after Chisholm collected her second hit and stolen base of the game, scoring on junior Stefanie Ewing’s RBI single through the left side.

The Beavers picked up three more runs in the top of the fifth behind five hits, including three straight RBI singles by junior DeAnn Young, sophomore Tarah Black and freshman Audrey Roderfeld, who came in to pinch hit eighth in the order. Chisholm and Ewing tallied the other two hits.

Strong defensive plays from the infield helped hold off the Golden Panthers, including junior Paige Lowe’s career-high tying seven assist performance.

Sophomore pitcher Stefanie Draper earns the win after pitching 4.0 innings, improving her record to 6-4, while Kasey Barrett drops to 8-8.

Oregon State returns home to co-host the Cascade Clash, facing Mississippi Valley State in a doubleheader on Wednesday, Mar. 12 to kick things off. Game times are set for 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
