KEIZER, Ore. - The second game of Law Enforcement for Youth's Pig Bowl football season kicked off at 6:00pm Saturday evening. The Dawgs jumped out to an early lead on a Touchdown pass from QB Ethan Griffith to Receiver Steve Polanski.

The Metro Knights rallied with two running touchdowns by QB Bryce Segar and RB Abe Madrigal. The teams went into half time with a 12-7 score.

Half time activities included a kids race on the field for youth 6-10 who's names were drawn. All kids participating received various prizes. Face painting for kids and give aways from Cycle Sports of Salem and Dick's Sporting goods was also conducted during the break.

The battle resumed in the second have with both teams defenses not allowing the offensive units to score. Late in the fourth quarter with about 6 minutes to play the Dawgs put together a solid drive. Steve Polanski made a reception taking the ball to the one yard line and Running back Jon Richey punched it in for the Touchdown. The Dawgs converted a 2 point attempt on the extra point making the score 15-12.

The Metro Knights regained the ball and began a hurry up offense with less than two minutes to go and moved the ball into Dawgs territory. The Knights looked to the air in an attempt to snatch the win from the Dawgs but their efforts came to a halt when Dawgs Linebacker Tyler Tomasini intercepted a Knights pass at about the 20 yard line.

The tough fought game was a thriller to the last seconds and a great time for all. The game was number two of three being conducted this year by Law Enforcement for Youth.
