No Hang-Over for EOU Women

LA GRANDE, Ore. - After dropping their first conference game last weekend, the Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team responded with a 67-51 victory Friday evening over Warner Pacific (5-15, 3-8 Cascade Collegiate Conference).

The Mountaineer women looked a little sluggish in the first-half, going into halftime tied at 30. In the first period, EOU (16-2, 10-1 CCC) committed 12 turnovers, shot just under 36 percent, and missed all five of their three-point attempts.

Tiffanie Ulmer led all scorers with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sheena Henderson added 13 points, and Jenny Fiso contributed 13 points coming off the Mountaineer bench.

EOU jumped out on a 12-6 run to begin the second half and never looked back, outscoring the Knights in the final ten minutes, 17-6.
