Oregon Tech’s Idrogo, Warner Pacific’s O’Gallagher Win Player of the Week Awards

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon Tech’s Crystal Idrogo and Warner Pacific’s Scott O’Gallagher have been named Cascade Conference Players of the Week in women’s and men’s basketball, respectively, the league office announced Monday.

Idrogo, a 5-11 sophomore forward from Sacramento, Calif., lead OIT to a pair of home victories last week as she averaged 21 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 60 percent from the floor.

In a 78-57 win over Cascade, she scored 19 points and added six rebounds. One night later, in a 72-50 win over Warner Pacific College, Idrogo scored 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting from the floor in addition to adding five rebounds.

O’Gallagher, the 6-2 senior guard from Gresham, Ore., led the Knights to a pair of important road victories last week – a 78-69 win at Southern Oregon followed by an 88-84 victory at No. 6-ranked Oregon Tech.

Against the Owls, O’Gallagher poured in 25 points and added six rebounds and six assists. One night earlier against SOU, he scored 21 points and had a pair of assists. O’Gallagher shot 50 percent from the field (13 of 26) and was perfect from the free throw line (19 of 19).
