EUGENE - The Oregon Ducks (6-12, 1-8 Pac-10) look to gain momentum heading into the Pac-10 tournament as they finish the regular season with a trip to the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem on Wednesday, to face Portland State (1-15, 0-8 Pac-10) in a Pac-10 dual meet.

The meet begins at 7:00 PM.

Scouting the Vikings:

The Vikings have had a bit of a down year, as they have yet to win a Pac-10 dual match.

None of their wrestlers are ranked in the top six in the Pac-10, but junior 165-pounder Dale Seley became only the ninth Viking to record twenty or more wins in a season since Portland State officially became a NCAA Division I competitor in 1998-99.

Last Year, the Ducks shut out the Vikings, 49-0, scoring four pins on the night. Senior heavyweight Chris Dearmon closed out the match with a pin 1:17 into his match.

Coach Kearney’s Take:

“This match is very important because our guys need to gain some confidence heading into the Pac-10 tournament. We have a chance to win every match. We did that last year and our guys are going to have to focus hard on that goal to do it again.”

Ranked Ducks:

Here’s how the Ducks rank in the Pac-10 (as of Feb. 12th):

125: Ryan Dunn, 3rd

133: Joey Lucas 5th

141: Justin Pearch, 3rd

174: Ronnie Lee, 5th

285: Chris Dearmon, 5th
