PORTLAND, Ore. - Molly Fillion (Sr., G, Silverton, OR/Silverton HS/Linn-Benton CC) of Willamette University scored led all players with 17 points and 19 rebounds, but Concordia University (Ore.) committed just eight turnovers and limited WU to 26.7% shooting, as the Cavaliers defeated the Bearcats, 88-46, on Monday, December 29th.

The 'Cats fell to 1-5 on the season in their first action since the death of Head Coach Bruce Henderson on December 8th of an apparent heart-related incident. Concordia improved to 10-1 overall.

Kippy Power led Concordia with 14 points, while Rebecca Gimeno added 11 points and Ann Snodderly scored 10.

The Cavaliers shot 45.5% for the game (35 of 77) and held the Bearcats to just 16 baskets on 60 attempts.

The Cavaliers, who compete in the NAIA, forced 31 turnovers by Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III.

Fillion was joined in double figures for the Bearcats by Alex Zennan (So., PG, Sammamish, WA/Eastlake HS), who scored 13 points.

Willamette achieved a 50-44 rebounding margin, but couldn't overcome its shooting difficulties or Concordia's advantage in turnovers.
