Cavs Defeat Willamette for 10th Straight Win

PORTLAND, Ore. - Holding the Bearcats to 26.7 percent shooting and forcing 31 turnovers, Concordia defeated Willamette 99-46 in women’s basketball action on Monday evening.

After opening the season with a loss, Concordia has posted a victory in its last 10 matches for a 10-1 record. Willamette, playing for the first time since the sudden passing of head coach Bruce Henderon, dropped to 1-5 on the season.

All 13 players on the bench entered the scoring and the rebounding column for the Cavaliers. Kenna Borgmeier led the attack with 14 points after a 5 of 7 performance from the field. Rebecca Gimeno added 11 and Ann Snodderly recorded 10 point to give the Cavaliers three players in double figures. Danielle Clauson grabbed a team-high six rebounds while adding eight points.

Concordia will return to action on January 2nd, when it resumes Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a road match at Southern Oregon.
