SALEM, Ore. - After watching Corban College take today's opener, 7-2, The College of Idaho used a bottom of the seventh inning rally, capped by a walk-off single by Cody Brubaker to salvage a split of today's doubleheader, topping the Warriors, 4-3, at Wolfe Field.

With the Game 1 win, the Warriors (11-35, 9-23 NAIA West) ended a ten-game losing streak, while the Coyotes picked up their 28th win of the season in the nightcap.

A five-run fifth inning rally for Corban broke open a tight Game 1 - as Craig Spicer lined a two-run triple to the gap, Russ Johnston layed down a perfect suicide squeeze, Kyle Taylor lined an RBI single, with the final run scoring on a throwing error.

It was all Trevor Winsor would need against a C of I (28-18, 23-8) line-up that was exclusively made up of seniors, as the righty tossed a complete-game seven hitter. His only mistakes were a Matt Mejia RBI single in the second and Brubaker's ninth home run of the year in the fifth.

Nate Hiebert had three hits, with Spicer, Taylor, and Josh Warner each recording a pair for Corban. Brubaker and Alex O'Brien each had two hits for the Coyotes.

Game 2 was a battle of arms, as the teams combined for just eight hits. Corban took an early 2-0 lead in the third - loading the bases without a hit, then getting a two-run infield single by Hiebert with two outs. The Yotes would tie it in the third - a run on a Luke Howarth squeeze but and another on a Brubaker ground out.

Corban would take the lead in the fifth, as Matt Schmidt placed the Warriors fifth squeeze bunt of the weekend to make it 3-2. Starter Jason Braun was in control until the seventh - when back-to-back errors put the tying and winning runs aboard. After a fly out, Jordan Lanman laced an RBI single through the left side to tie the game, then after an infield single by Howarth loaded the bases, Brubaker launched a ball off the centerfield wall to end the game.

Chad Yeggy retired all five men he faced in relief of starter Ben Rosen to pick up his fifth win, with Lanman the only Coyote with two hits. Hiebert had both of the Warriors hits in the loss.

The Coyotes will now wait for Sunday night's pairings to determine their opponent in the opening round of the NAIA West Tournament in Vancouver, B.C. The tournament is set to begin Monday, May 4, at Nat Bailey Stadium.
