KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech head women’s basketball coach, Matt Greenleaf, announced today the signing of two standout players for the 2008-2009 season.

Morgan Hofman, a 5-8 point guard from Mt. View High School in Bend, Oregon and Ally West, a 5-10 post player from College of the Siskiyous, have both signed a letter of intent to play at OIT next year.

Morgan Hofman was a four year starting point guard. She averaged 13 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game and 3.9 assists for Mt View High School. Hofman was a First and Second Team All League player the last two seasons and was voted Team Captain and Offensive Player of the Year by her teammates.

Morgan was very active in student government and was the Junior Class President in 2007. She has a High School GPA of 3.65.

“I am very excited that Morgan chose to attend Oregon Tech. Morgan understands the game very well and is capable of playing both guard positions. She is a nice athlete who I believe is going to develop into a very good player,” Coach Matt Greenleaf said.

Morgan is the daughter of Brad and Judi Hofman of Bend, Oregon. She will pursue a nursing degree at Oregon Tech.

Ally West was voted All-League her junior and senior years at River City High School in Sacramento, California. She played the last two years at College of the Siskiyous, helping her team to 26-4 record her freshman year and a 24-6 record last year as a sophomore where she garnered Honorable mention and Scholar Athlete Honors.

“Ally is a winner and knows what it takes to win at the college level. Ally won 50 games the last two years and her team made it to the Elite Eight this season. Ally is very active in the post and she shoots the three at a very high percentage. She will make an impact for us right away,” Coach Greenleaf said.

Ally is the daughter of Jon and Kelly West of Sacramento. Ally will be a psychology major at Oregon Tech.
